Opening Keynote: Digital Leadership Transformation
Lobby Level | Grand Salon
Jed Yueh

In order to drive digital transformation, IT executives need to transform the way they lead. Over the last decade, technology giants have scaled to unprecedented revenues and trillions of dollars in market capitalization. What are the underlying forces behind their incredible success? What can IT executives learn and implement in their own organizations? How do you know if you have the right strategy and metrics to judge execution? And how can we balance the need for innovation with sustainability? Jedidiah Yueh, the best selling author of Disrupt or Die and the Founder and CEO of Delphix, will share insights from the front lines of digital transformation.

Every IT leader must harness high-velocity software delivery and data to enable digital transformation. Product innovation with speed and quality is mission-critical for survival. DevOps supports these goals, with key principles like automation everywhere and shift left. Organizations must also ensure they are fueling DevOps efforts with automated, high-quality, and compliant data. But as data sprawls and multiplies, organizations must consider its negative impact on the environment. IT leaders today need to explore viable approaches to mitigate these effects in order to support a sustainable IT organization for now and for future generations. Many organizations have proven that, when managing data effectively, they can transform software delivery and meet their compliance obligations, while greatly improving sustainability. In this session, the leaders of multiple global organizations will share their strategy and best practices for achieving sustainable digital transformation.

Why Fast Access to Test Data is Crucial for Efficient Digital Transformation
Lobby Level | Grand Salon
Sanjeev Sharma Pritam Mahapatra

Enterprises everywhere are redoubling digital transformation efforts, and DevOps teams must accelerate the delivery of software underpinning new products and services. But DevOps teams are only as fast as their test data allows them to be, and data delivery bottlenecks often stymie development speed. Meanwhile, the need to secure sensitive data and the complexities of multi-cloud only complicates data delivery. Faced with these hurdles, how can IT leaders help software developers and testers do their jobs effectively? In this session, learn how modern, automated DevOps test data management (TDM) eliminates the delay and risk in obtaining production-quality, compliant test data, allowing DevOps teams to optimize digital transformation and even lower their carbon footprint in the process.

Choice Hotels is one of the largest lodging franchisors in the world with more than 7,100 hotels, representing over 600,000 rooms globally. As a part of its commitment to sustainability, Choice has leveraged IT-driven innovation as an engine to drive environmentally-friendly business practices spanning everything from waste reduction to water conservation to streamlined operations. At the same time, the Choice Technology organization itself has transformed, adopting more sustainable infrastructure and processes.

Data sits at the heart of these parallel initiatives, not only contributing to success from a business perspective, but helping transform the impact technology is having on sustainability along the spectrum of environmental, social and governance topics.

Securing Data for Digital Transformation While Being Open and Transparent
Lobby Level | Grand Salon
Daniel Troncoso

The government of Brazil is accelerating digital transformation across 3,000 public service applications. And as public sector entities, Brazilian agencies have the dual task of securing the personal information of citizens in compliance with the LGPD personal data protection law, while providing access and transparency to public information in compliance with the Information Access Law (Lei de Acesso à Informação)". Protecting PII is paramount not only for internal development and test environments, but also to safely share data with development partners or when responding to “requests for information” in support of government transparency.

Join Daniel Troncoso, Deputy CIO, to find out how Brazil has accelerated digital transformation, protected PII, and provided citizens with access to public records. Daniel will also walk through a transformation initiative that increased efficiency and sustainability for the environmental licensing of construction projects.

The Future of Data: Sustainable Transformation With the DevOps Data Platform
Lobby Level | Grand Salon
Dan Graves Jason Grauel

Data is the last frontier for automation in DevOps. Enterprise data infrastructure is some of the most expensive, complex, and duplicative in IT. Organizations are facing very real tradeoffs between data access for better application development and extreme cost, both due to the infrastructure as well as the power required to drive it. We'll discuss how the Delphix DevOps Data Platform enables sustainable IT practices by consolidating data, driving ephemeral use, and ensuring compliant, safe data. We’ll also cover how our customer and community insights are helping us design the next generation of Delphix offerings.
