Erik Zwiefel is an experienced leader in data and AI. He has a passion for helping companies across diverse industries challenge the status quo, embrace a data culture, become data-driven organizations, and achieve more with data, analytics, and machine learning.

As the Chief Data and Analytics Officer of the Americas for the Data and AI business at Microsoft, Erik partners with companies in all stages of data strategy and data transformation. He has been involved in various data-related roles for more than 18 years, including the last 7 years helping customers architect and implement data and AI solutions. Erik is an accomplished speaker and enjoys sharing his knowledge and skills with others – either in one-to-many or one-to-one conversations.

He completed his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at University of Minnesota and his master’s degree in business intelligence and analytics at Saint Joseph’s University. Erik lives in Minnesota with his family and enjoys board games, woodworking, 3D printing, reading, and other activities his kids pull him into.
