Katherine Wetmur is a Managing Director and the Chief Information Officer, Cyber, Data, Risk and Resilience at Morgan Stanley. Her remit spans the Firm’s central Technology Risk and
Information Security functions including Cyber, Fraud and the Fusion Resilience Center as well as Global Data, Legal & Compliance Technology, and International.

Katherine partners closely with our business and technology teams around the globe to strengthen the Firm’s resilience, address the complex and continuously evolving threat
environment, and ensure data governance, data quality and sensitive data security. She also oversees Morgan Stanley’s diverse International Technology footprint across our Global Centers, Europe and Asia.

Previously, Katherine was the International Chief Information Officer and the Head of Reliability & Production Engineering for the Firm’s Institutional and Corporate businesses. An engineer by trade, she has held a variety of senior leadership positions in Technology since joining Morgan Stanley in 2002. She holds a B.S. in Materials Science from Rice University.

Katherine serves on the Board of Sheltered Harbor, the Analysis & Resilience Center (ARC) and SustainableIT.org.

A long-standing champion of diversity, Katherine was a member of the Morgan Stanley’s EMEA Diversity Action Council, an Executive Sponsor of the Pride and Ally Network, and a member of the Mental Health Advisory Board. She is a strong supporter of the Firm’s initiatives to foster STEM education and encourage young women to pursue technical careers.

Katherine was named a Top 100 Women in Finance by Financial News in 2019 and 2020.
